Drawn Into Imagination
Before I became a creator, I was a kid flipping pages, dreaming.
I didn’t start this because it was trendy. I started it because comics raised me.
I was a military kid — new cities, new countries, always moving. But comics? They stayed with me. My dad introduced me. One of his friends, a serious collector, passed on the obsession. When we lived in Okinawa, my mom handed me manga. That’s when the world cracked open — a mix of Western comics and Japanese storytelling that rewired how I saw everything.
Comics got me into drawing. Drawing got me into art school. That got me into film school. And now? I tell stories for a living. But it all started with panels and pages.
